Seeking Insights on Streamlining Information Access for Founders
Hello everyone, I need your help and experience. I’m an early-stage founder (and a former BDR), currently researching a problem that used to drive me crazy in my previous roles — the endless search for information just to get work done. I mean those moments when you spend 20 minutes trying to find the latest pricing sheet, the right objection-handling response you know exists somewhere in Slack, or that perfect case study for a client in a specific industry. I’m working on a tool to fix this, but I want to make sure I’m solving a real problem — not just my own frustration. I’m not selling anything. I just need your honest frontline perspective. I’d be incredibly grateful if you could share your thoughts on a few questions:
How painful is this? How much of your workday (in % or hours) is spent on this “digital quest” — searching for information in Slack, Drive, Confluence, CRM, etc.?
What’s your current “hack”? What do you do when you can’t find something? DM the team “veteran”? Keep a personal cheat sheet in Notion?
Where does the most valuable (and chaotic) information live? If you could plug a perfect search engine into one single tool, what would it be? (Slack, Google Drive, Salesforce, something else?)
Tell a story: Has there ever been a time when not finding the right info quickly actually hurt you — maybe a call went sideways, a deal slipped, or you ended up looking unprepared?
Any story or thought — big or small — would be incredibly helpful. Thank you!
