I think the comments in this channel that resonate are the ones saying that the roles aren’t getting replaced, but evolving. BDRs/SDRs are perhaps more valuable than ever (assuming the price point supports that kind of motion), but they have to look like they did 10+ years ago - hitting the phones HARD. Being in the mix on socials. But being a SEP operator? That ship has sailed. A lot of people here have said AEs are safe and I agree with a caveat: [good] is now the minimum bar. If you’re mediocre, great enablement with AI allows the good->great sellers to handle more territory/opps so the mediocre producers are going to get canned (or upskill). Anyone saying RevOps is toast is, IMO, very much incorrect. But same comment as with AEs. If you’re just a “Salesforce/HubSpot admin,” yeah… you’re smoked. But if you’re adapting/evolving to wield tools like Claude Code, you’ve never been more valuable. And, again, same on content and design. Some folks called out the lack of taste with LLMs. This is true. If content = SEO, yeah. Done. But if content is coming from original data and clever positioning, you’re more valuable than ever. By and large, I see AI making the 10X producers 100X producers while it makes the 1x producers perhaps 1.2x producers. And, sadly, for most of these roles 90% of people are 1x producers.
