We measured something no one had benchmarked before: how the world’s leading AI companies actually show up in AI search.
It's the first independent benchmark of who AI actually recommends when buyers ask what to use. Forbes defines the company set, publishes the method, and makes the whole thing reproducible.
Some of what the data shows:
🔸 The median AI visibility score is just 4.5 out of 100. Even the biggest names in AI are barely present in AI search.
🔸 41 of 50 have 0 citations from their own website. 58% of everything AI cites comes from YouTube, Reddit, Inc., and LinkedIn,
🔸 Consumer tools like Speak, Suno, and Synthesia top the list; the best-known labs land well below.
Ranked all 50 companies, analyzed the sources shaping their visibility, and looked at what separates the companies AI recommends most from everyone else.
