Hi all, I'm Rio (like Rio de Janeiro, the Duran Duran song, or the Pixar movie with the parrots). Mermaid Marketing is the name of my freelance consulting business. I help busy entrepreneurs make sense of digital marketing. There are countless tactics and platforms to test, but I help them cut to the chase by matching the strategies that truly fit their unique industry (and yes...they are all special snowflakes), budget, and "big picture" growth objectives. From there, I build "the digital engine" (think tech stack, workflows, tools and talent) from the ground up to make execution easy for teams to implement. Beyond the screen, I'm exploring downtown Charleston, planning my next trip, heading to an OrangeTheory class, searching for a creative project to get lost in for hours, and enjoying aunt life with my nieces and nephews.
