I love this. We implemented a process called the 30-Minute Rule. When we are presented with an unplanned event that causes priorities to shift, we spend 30 minutes addressing the challenge on search or ai to identify three alternative solutions to look at. Then we present our findings to whomever we need to in order to come up with the most practical way to move forward. It's worked wonders for us.

Congrats on hiring your first sales rep. I would encourage you to document the responsibilities. If you don’t really have training in place, build it as you go with your sales person. The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago… the next best time? Today. Good luck.
