Reading the thread so far and loving the answers and the diversity of perspectives.
In my opinion, yes, parts of outbound sales will absolutely be taken over by AI tools, whether it's what's already on the market or what's still coming. Research, lead gen, and outreach are the areas I see getting automated the most. Even building reports can be handled by AI, but presenting those insights to senior leaders? You'll still need a human for that, that's not going away.
But for meetings, demos, and closing deals? That's where humans are critical, because that's where revenue is directly on the line. There will be better tools to support humans in those conversations, we already have some, but I think there's still a ton of room for new ones to emerge.
So I'm firmly in the "somewhere in between" camp. AI handles the grunt work, humans handle the trust work.
