Thatβs a massive strategic runway. Most people learn GTM under financial pressure, but you have 7 years of "risk-free" R&D ahead of you.
My advice: don't just aim to be a "qualified hire." Aim to be a founder.
Instead of just collecting certifications to build someone else's dream, use this time to build your own product or a proprietary GTM system. While you have that safety net, you can afford to fail, iterate, and find a real problem to solve.
Entering the civilian world with a proven system or a side-SaaS is a much stronger play than entering with a stack of PDFs and a resume. Build the asset, not just the skills.
