Hey Lucas,
I think it's important, but the advent of vibe-coding is changing how a dev firm is working. Heres what I mean:
- 1.
In some cases where the company has an MVP and wants to scale rapidly without bringing on the headcount, then yes, I think there is a place for software development firms.
- 2.
You become more of an advisor to support the founder(s) and their team on their mission to build the MVP and the product + infra.
I draw the same parallel where marketing agencies are going to become martech consultancies as many companies bring in AI and build out their processes internally. However, there are times where maintenance, expertise, and human intervention are needed which where the marketing firm comes in.
