The setup I’ve seen hold up:
A rule creates the opp at booking, not a person. The “meeting booked” event from the sequence tool or calendar creates the opp with the SDR as source, in an early stage like “Meeting Booked.” The AE qualifies it after the call. When the AE creates it after the meeting, that’s exactly where SDR credit gets lost. The tricky part is the wrong-account case: the rule needs a matching step (email domain, existing contact, duplicates), and anything ambiguous goes to a person instead of guessing.
A daily check: every meeting booked in the last 24h, compared against opps created. Anything without a match goes to the SDR in Slack, with one named owner for the check. Otherwise everyone assumes RevOps catches it, and RevOps assumes the SDR does.
Curious to see the summary. My guess is most answers will land on “the SDR, manually,” and that’s the root of the problem.
Hi all, Veerle from FlowMate. I work there, so yes, this is a pitch 🙂 A bit of background: our founder comes from sales and marketing, not engineering. For years, every automation we wanted ended up as a ticket for a developer, a project for an agency, or a weekend lost to a workflow builder. Then Claude changed how we work. Research, writing, CRM updates, real action across our tools. The one thing missing: making it run on its own, without someone starting every prompt. That’s why we built FlowMate. You connect it to Claude (or other AI Platforms) once, describe a workflow in plain language, and Claude + FlowMate run it whenever something happens. A lead replies, a meeting gets booked, a deal moves. No developer, no canvas, about 60 seconds to set up. ⚡ It’s free to start. We also have a free GTM playbook with our favorite workflows, each with the exact prompt. Reply here or DM me and I’ll send it over. Honest feedback on what’s clunky is very welcome. Curious how your team handles this today: still running these steps by hand in Claude, or with a separate workflow tool? Company: FlowMate flowmate.io/claude What problem does the company solve? Teams use Claude daily for sales and marketing work, but every step still needs someone to start it. With Claude + FlowMate, those workflows run on their own across the apps the team already uses, set up in plain language without technical skills.
