Seeking Real-World Insights on DealHub, Zuora, and Maxio for Salesforce CPQ and Subscription Billing Evaluation
Hi all! Hoping to tap into the revops hive mind here. I've been pulled into a CPQ+ subscription billing evaluation discussion. We're on Salesforce and currently running quoting and billing on a homegrown setup bolted onto SAP. We're down to a shortlist and I'd love real world input from anyone who’s actively lived with these tools. Specifically:
DealHub and Zuora — these are the two front-runners. Anyone implemented or run either day-to-day? Especially interested in the Salesforce side: how native it really is, how much you end up building/owning in SF yourself, and how the billing + rev rec piece holds up in practice (not the demo).
Maxio — also in the mix. Anyone got a view on their CPQ specifically? Trying to work out whether it’s their own product or rides on Salesforce CPQ.
Context that matters for us: multi-entity (5 entities), multi-currency, partner sales motion, consumption billing for a cloud product, and ASC 606 / IFRS 15 rev rec that has to be solid. War stories, gotchas, “wish I’d known” stuff — all welcome, DMs fine if easier. Happy to share back what we learn. Thanks!
