Managing Duplicates in HubSpot CRM with Clay Enrichment Tool

Hi everyone! Does anyone here use the Clay enrichment tool for Hubspot CRM? If yes, how're you dealing with duplicates in the CRM? Most of these get created by clay for multiple domains of the same company. Would be grateful for any suggestions :)

Indeed, very frequent issue in CRM

The way I go around it is actually making an automation between CRM and other tools through Zapier where I'd always add an extra step to check if the contact with the same email address exists. If that is the case, the zap simply would not go through and duplicates would be avoided. I guess you could do the same for companies as well.

Thanks Tanja K.. Mostly, the contacts picked up are also different through enrichment, and this is another reason for creation of seperate companies too - xyz.com will have one record with [email protected] and xyz.ai will have other 5 records with emails @xyz.ai

I'm a bit biased Nimisha as I'm the founder of www.folk.app, which is also a CRM product. i know we've invested a lot in making deduplicate work and it's a super complex algorithm. I know it's often a part products don't invest enough time on

Entity resolution is a pain generally. You can try to dedupe against a canonical domain in your case. Get clay to generate a canonical domain with an AI prompt or use an enrichment provider and then always dedupe/create contacts under the canonical company record
