Our sales team has been using Apollo to get LinkedIn contacts into our Salesforce instance, but they've been mentioning a lot of sync issues recently. How are others getting those contacts into SFDC?
Apollo i dont know. Data tends to be old and mashed with bambora and the others. I would be wary of the segments
Paul S. We deal with this exact pattern a lot. Apollo (and most contact enrichment tools) will happily push a record into Salesforce even if the email is dead, the phone format is wrong for the country, or a near-duplicate already exists under a slightly different name or company. The sync itself works fine, the problem is what it's syncing. What's helped teams we've worked with: validate and dedup before the record ever writes to Salesforce, not after. Catch invalid emails, bad phone formats, and fuzzy duplicate matches (not just exact matches) at the point of entry, so Apollo, LeadIQ or Clay are only ever pushing clean records into SFDC in the first place. Happy to hop on a quick call if useful, we do this specifically for Salesforce and Dynamics environments.
Yes, we just dealt with this and got wrongly charged for over 200K credits. Luckily, they've given them back to us after many emails back and forth with their engineers but it seems to break a lot. Either things are syncing or they're sending twice and we're getting charged double.
We just got confirmation from our Apollo rep that they changed their extension:
Apollo changed the extension experience to align with LinkedIn compliance standards. To clarify, this is a LinkedIn policy change also affecting our competitors, not a specific Apollo limitation. As you mentioned, the previous bulk prospecting flow is unavailable. The current path requires using Suggested Leads from the Sales Navigator search and then continuing from the individual's standard LinkedIn profile, but I recognize this isn't equivalent for your outbound volume.switch to HighLevel ;)
