Hi Everyone, has anyone faced the issue where the CTR shown in the instantly platform is very low but when checked on GA4 through utm source as an email, it is showing a high number of visitors.
repeats?
Instantly is tracking unique clicks on the link in the email, whereas GA4 is tracking sessions: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9191807?hl=en
If a user clicks your email link once, then waits an hour, and then their browser crashes and reloads the tab that's 2 clicks for GA4 and 1 for Instantly.
I checked on instantly, it is around 40 unique email clicks but on GA4, it is around 658 visitors.
Other things can influence this too - eg, if someone clicked the link and posted it somewhere - that'll count in GA4 but not instantly
not sure what's happening in your unique case.
Yes, may be, it the gap is very huge which is some 10 times. From 12 May, I added 4 campaigns which were send to some 400 leads. In instantly it is hardly showing 3 to 4 clicks whereas in GA4, it is more than 500. I'm guessing 2 cases here, instantly might not be tracking well or have a backend issue. Another, GA4 can have some issue, though GA4 is used by another team. Is there any additional setup that needs to be done in GA4? Because I have only added the 2 utm source in email campaigns one is source which "cemail" means cold email and another is medium which is "email".
the most likely answer is you are comparing apples and oranges
