Hey everyone! I’m in the process of revamping the email sequence cadences for my BDR team and would love some benchmarking data to work with. Could anyone share the standard open, click, reply, and overall engagement rates you’re seeing in your outreach? Looking to compare these metrics against our current performance. Thanks!!
Heyy Tittu T.! It is hard to compare email metrics across teams because results vary a lot by business, ICP, offer, and list size. Also, open rates can be misleading because of bot opens. If you share a bit more about your business, I can tell you whether your numbers look below, around, or above average in your space.
benchmarking cadence metrics can be helpful, but context tends to drive most of the variance. open rates in outbound often cluster anywhere from 30 to 60 percent depending on list hygiene and subject line alignment, while reply rates more commonly sit in the low single digits to low teens based on icp precision and personalization depth, which is why comparing against segments with similar deal size and targeting rigor usually produces more signal than raw industry averages. tracking methods and bot filtering aren’t fully deterministic either, so engagement optics can skew quickly.
Thanks Daniyal D. and Vaibhav S. To give you a better picture: I’m with GoComet, and we’re primarily targeting Supply Chain and Logistics leaders (VP/Director level) at mid-market to enterprise manufacturing firms.
