Enhance CRM Efficiency with Clay: Key Use Cases for Success
Shoutout to RevGenius community managers and Jared R. The community is getting more and more quality engagement! I just wanted to share some use cases with CRM (HubSpot and Salesforce), since many people are talking about this in 25', and for good reason. CRM cleaning is a huge problem. I have met companies spending six figures per year on CRM data cleaning, and Clay allows these operations in the best way I have ever seen. Here are the three use cases I really believe can move the needle. Job Changes This is huge. In tech, after a year or so, 20 percent of a company's workforce changes jobs. After a couple of years, the CRM becomes completely outdated and useless. With Clay, we can monitor all the contacts in the CRM. When there is a job change, we can mark the contact in Salesforce as "left company," create a new contact under the new company, and activate the sales team with a Slack notification. We can automate this only if the new job title or company matches the ICP. Industry The industry field is something most CRMs do not have. Let's say you are a SaaS company selling to different niches and you have just found a strong new use case for the retail industry. There is no way to filter retail companies only. You would need to connect Salesforce to Clay, enrich the industry category from the domain, and update the field in the CRM. From there, you can organize your ads, email, and one-to-one outreach campaigns. Automated Outbound You can set up the CRM so that whenever a new company is marked as a client, you activate a Clay flow that finds a lookalike list of companies, identifies decision makers, enriches contacts, and sends a cold email about the new partnership with the competitor and how you are helping them. Hope it's helpfull! MS
