Hi folks, Anyone here using any buying intent data tool that you would recommend? Like actual buying intent like exploring and looking to buy software to solve for problem X rather than high growth, funding announced and things like that. Essentially looking for an alternative to G2. Any recommendations would be very helpful
For actual buying intent (not just firmographics), the main players are Bombora, 6sense, and Demandbase. They track which companies are researching specific topics based on web behavior across publisher networks. Bombora is usually the most accessible for mid-market. 6sense is more enterprise/ABM focused. If you're looking for G2-style intent (who's actively comparing your category), G2's Buyer Intent product is actually decent if you're already listed there. Otherwise ZoomInfo has intent data bundled but it's pricey. What's your use case/budget?
Thanks Daniel. Will explore the options you mentioned
Dhiraj P. suggest checking out what we are building at Tapistro.com. Intent is of many types. We bring various kinds of buying signals in a single system.
most intent tools give you the signal but then it's on the rep to figure out what to do with it. we found the gap isn't really the data, it's that reps don't have the context to act on it well when it lands. worth thinking about both sides of that problem.
Sure Juliette.
We implemented 6sense - agree with Juliette B. that building out the playbook and full context of an account was key. The reason 6sense made sense for my last company (though pricey) was that the category level data from bombora and demand base wasn't granular enough - if you're in a market where the category is really broad while you are niche then βintentβ doesn't always mean intent in what you sell. But even with tighter keywords, making sure the reps were armed with the why and the materials to engage right people at right time was where the rubber hit the road
