Seeking Advice on Hiring a Hands-On Fractional SDR Lead for Outbound Sales at DigitalStack360.com
Hey all, could use some GTM advice and potentially a recommendation. I’m the founder of a SaaS tool. We’ve built a platform that helps companies plan, govern, and execute digital work using a combination of human and AI resources. We’re at the point where I want to start building a repeatable outbound motion, but I’m deliberately not looking to hire a full-time SDR team yet. What I’m looking for is a fractional SDR lead who is very hands-on. Someone who can help sharpen the ICP and messaging, but is also willing to actually pick up the phone, prospect, email, use LinkedIn, work replies, and book meetings. The initial targets are primarily digital agencies and enterprise digital/technology organizations, so experience selling more complex B2B technology or services would be especially useful. I’ve talked to a few people who are great at the strategy side of fractional sales, but I’m really looking for somebody who still enjoys doing the actual outbound work too. For those of you who have built an outbound motion this way:
- 1.
Have you had better results with a strong fractional SDR/operator or hiring an SDR directly?
- 2.
What would you expect a genuinely good fractional SDR to own beyond just meeting generation?
- 3.
And if anyone here does this kind of work themselves or knows somebody particularly strong, I’d be happy to connect.
Thinking roughly 10–15 hours/week initially, probably in the $35–$50/hour range plus performance incentives. Would appreciate any perspective from people who have done this successfully.
