Is August Still a Slow Hiring Season for Sales Compared to September?

Hi team, So August just passed and I had 2 promising interviews that went all the way to the final round but just came up short there. I hear that August is usually slow season for hiring compared to September, is that still true these days in Sales?

I would think so, yes. In August if there are multiple interviews sometimes team members are out of office vs. September.

september usually picks up again once budgets reset and people are back from PTO. the real question is whether those "promising interviews" stalled on timing or something else — if they went to final round and still passed, it might be worth asking the hiring manager directly what tipped the decision
