curious how people here are evaluating AI skills when hiring for GTM roles. everyone lists 'AI proficiency' as a requirement now but when we actually assess people's AI skills conversationally, most score way lower than their self-reported level. we ran 412 assessments and the average was 52/100 -- 62% scored below Proficient. anyone found a reliable way to screen for actual AI competence beyond 'tell me about a time you used AI'?
Hi Oz!
Reporting from the other side of the table here.
In my recent experience, interviewers have moved to asking me to walk them through something I've built - a deeper question than "a time I used AI."
They want to know about a specific project that is related to my work or produced some type of measurable result.
Hope this helps!
How about a real GTM scenario to solve with it.
For example: give them messy customer data + a campaign goal and assess how they prompt, verify, refine, and apply the output.
That would reveal much more than self-reported proficiency.
