What do you wish had been in place before your first senior revenue leader started?
Question for the founders and revenue leaders here: when you brought in your first senior revenue leader, what do you wish had been in place before they started? I see a lot of Series A companies hire a CRO or CMO before there's a strategy for that person to run, and the first six months go to building the plan instead of executing it. The companies that move fastest get their ICP, pipeline design, and forecast model working first, then hire into a system that's ready for them. That's the stage I built Revenue Advisory for at Cojoy RevGen. It gives revenue-generating Series A and early Series B companies senior guidance on GTM strategy, coaching for the sales and marketing leaders running the plan, and help building the team, including talent sourcing with no finder's fee, while their own people own the execution. If you're at that stage or know a founder who is, here's the overview: cojoyrevgen.com/services?โฆ I'd also love to hear how others here sequenced that first revenue hire.
