Seeking Mentorship and Opportunities in Founding Sales or GTM Roles at Early-Stage Startups
What's going on, y'all? I'm Dheeraj, on my final year of computer engineering at Purdue, now seven months into building a pre-seed company with a venture studio in the consumer activation space โ where I've owned outbound end to end. Much earlier in my journey than most people here, I'm here since I'm looking to move into a founding sales or GTM seat at some younger startup wrestling a cool problem, while I get sharper at running outbound for my own. I've been a data and software engineer, so the technical side's my bread and butter, although I've found I love the sales part a ton more. Figured most of it out by just doing it, but I'd love to formally learn the ropes from a veteran. So the ask: if anyone here would be open to mentoring someone at my stage, even loosely, it'd be invaluable. And if you've got a project you'd hand off with real autonomy, I'd take it โ I learn the fastest with nothing but an outcome. I'm pretty technical, creative, and I love talking to people. Happy to be here, cheers!
