I didn't get the question, if you are saying that there should be more than this to the offer for early adopters then I would disagree. Surely early adopters really help shape the product but it only applies to people who already actively use a product to solve the problem. These are the users who have some specific issues with their current solution and want them solved. The new product that they adopt solves it, and that usually is the attractive thing to try a new product.
