With all 106 won deals missing amounts, I’d first check whether there’s a consistent gap in how resale deals get recorded. Does the confirmed value live in billing, an order system, or the signed agreement without making it back into HubSpot? If it’s already captured elsewhere, I’d look at whether it can be matched back using a reliable deal or order ID. Making the amount required might help going forward, but only if the person updating the deal knows the correct value. I’d also agree on what you’re measuring before backfilling: the full sale, your share of revenue, or commission. Those could produce very different referrer rankings. For reporting in the meantime, I’d show deal count, known value, and the percentage of won deals with an amount recorded. Missing amounts shouldn’t quietly become zeroes or make one referrer look less valuable simply because their records are less complete. Do you have a reliable source for those amounts outside HubSpot, or is that the missing piece too?
Hey everyone! I’m Derek. I’ve been meaning to introduce myself and am looking forward to getting more involved here. My background includes eight years in digital marketing and analytics, working across campaign management, client strategy, and measurement for brands including LinkedIn, GoDaddy, and Optimizely. I’ve worked on both the agency and client side, so I’m familiar with the work that goes into running campaigns and explaining the results to the people investing in them. A lot of my experience sits in the details behind campaign performance: making sure conversion tracking is accurate, pulling data from different platforms, and building reporting and dashboards that help teams understand what’s working and where to focus next. I enjoy turning a complicated set of numbers into a clear conversation about what to do. I’m also hands-on with the technical side, including Google Tag Manager, GA4, Google Ads, Looker, SQL, and Python. I use APIs to connect systems, automate reporting, and reduce the manual work involved in getting useful data in front of clients and internal teams. I’ve also worked as a Sales Engineer at Hack The Box, which gave me another perspective on discovery, demos, and helping customers evaluate technical products. Happy to compare notes or help with: • Campaign management, optimization, and client communication. • Reporting, dashboarding, and making performance data useful. • Conversion tracking, tagging, and measurement troubleshooting. • API integrations and automating recurring workflows. Outside of work, I’m a dad to two young kids, so most personal projects happen after bedtime. I joined to meet other marketers, agency folks, and revenue teams, learn how others are solving these problems, and contribute where I can. Looking forward to getting to know everyone! linkedin.com/in/derekmartinoscp
