Best Practices for Managing Subscription Data in HubSpot

Hi Hubspot 🧙 - curious to how you’re surfacing subscription info in HubSpot to drive CS processes (renewals, expansions..) Context: we use Chargebee for quotes/subscription management (may explore their CPQ - do not use HS quotes) + getting Hubspot Service Hub. We just want the right way to mirror subscription data into HubSpot for CS visibility + reporting. For example, some approaches I'm thinking of:

Line Items → attach product/plan info to deals (though feels clunky as on a deal level)
Custom Subscription object → sync from Chargebee (plans, add-ons, renewal dates, status) and link to Company/Deal.

👉 Has anyone tried either of these? What’s worked well or not? Any gotchas to watch out for?

Hi Ciarán E. - we're trialling this out with Dust We've connected a few data sources to Dust (e.g. notion, slack ect..) and have created an agent. Goal is to have the team mention this bot via slack before looping in RevOps

Jon M. some more context: Especially because we've seen that Hubspot overrides the utm mediums. My initial thoughts were to create a contact object property and establish there the attribution. Wdyt?

Hi Jon M. 👋 we're currently tagging our cross-sell deals in Hubspot via deal type I was more interested in knowing how others were tracking the performance of expansion opportunities. E.g. X% from CSLQs, X% from product led marketing ect... More to get an understanding of expansion pipegen performance
