Is anyone else here also just tired these "AI SDR" tools popping up every other day?
Yup nope don't try them - just saved you time.
I'd written this article out of my experiences https://x.com/_themousepotato/status/2085324370613006620?s=46
This is what worries me about AI SDRs. They can exacerbate the exact problem AEs and managers already complain about with human SDRs: unqualified meetings. Wrong title, wrong person, sometimes even the wrong department. Now you haven’t created efficiency, you’ve just muddied the pipeline. When they get it right, it’s amazing. But when I have to scrutinize every AI-booked meeting because I’m unsure whether it’s actually qualified, I start questioning how much time we saved in the first place. At some point, I’d rather know a human did the work and put a real prospect on my calendar.
I feel like there should be tools to increase the quality of work for SDRs instead of building tools to replace them all together.
Ahmed where do you think most of your time is taken that could've spent elsewhere? For me personally, it's about researching accounts and see if they actually fall into ICP. Most of the time for me clay, apollo gave data outside the ICP. Sometimes enrichment credits get wasted and manual research takes a lot of time only to find that they dont have buying intent at that time.
Navaneeth S. I think yeah for me as well researching and cross checking accounts to see if they are actually worth reaching out to, i also use origami ai it helps a lot but still needs more manual work. Also one of the things is signal catching, a lot of times i missed perfect timing to reach out to some accounts, previously i saw razer was trying to expand in south asian region and i reached out to propose local payments integration and i managed to secure call with them. I have lots of tools in place like rb2b, clarity and other tools now I'm building a way to connect them all together to talk to each other and feed me important signals to act on.
That's amazing Ahmed . Origami ai looks interesting. What manual work did you end up doing? The website kinda tells it does it all. That expansion is a great signal but, catching them is very tricky I feel. I’ve been hearing there's a delay in such news getting published online. You're building this inside your company or as a separate tool for others as well btw?
Navaneeth S. Mainly the issue is quality of leads that origami finds, can't just blindly trust it, have to verify myself first before pushing into a sequence. I was originally building that tool for myself but it is genuinely an mazing tool in this slop filled space so i will make it available for everyone. If you wanna give it a try i can send it in DM once it is usable for you. I would love to try with few people. I have lots of ai credits so why not put it to use by getting feedback haha.
Awesome! Sending you a DM
