Access Issues: Confusion About Slack Channel and Portal

Hey guys, Im a little confused. I joined this slack channel but cannot access this portal? I thought it was the same thing? What am I missing?

it's a confusing UI - call me whenever you're free - you can navigate channels on the left - essentially its just the same thing as slack but a web version view - it's nothing different
