Optimizing Sales Cycle for Voice AI SaaS: Insights and Strategies
We’re running early-stage outbound for a Voice AI SaaS (priced at ₹8/min or ~$0.10/min, can go down to ₹5/min). In the last 6–7 weeks, we’ve generated ~400 leads (mostly via Apollo + LinkedIn), fixed 32 demos, and completed 21. None have yet moved to negotiation or closure — we’re still in the qualification and pilot discussion stage. For a product like this — mid-ticket (usage-based, B2B, requires integration with existing contact-center stacks) — what’s a realistic and healthy sales-cycle length you’ve seen from first demo to paid pilot or closure? Also, what have you found most effective in shortening the cycle for outbound SaaS in similar categories (e.g., Voice AI, automation, contact-center tech)? I believe the ICP targeting is also good as most of them are heading contact or voice operations or IT/Product Heads who handle the voice part. Are we missing anything else?
