Hello Everyone, I have started using the free Hubspot CRM, is it true that the Hubspot has changed the limit to 1000 only for non-marketing contacts. Previously, I checked, it was around 1 million contacts.
Yes they changed it a little while back. Free accounts are good for basic testing and not much else. Need to buy at least the starter package if you need it for day-to-day business.
Yes, that's correct. In the free version of HubSpot CRM, you can store up to 1,000 non-marketing contacts. If you need higher limits or want to use marketing features with more contacts, you might consider upgrading your plan.
Benjamin M. Gaurav A. Thanks for the response, actually I work in strategy consulting, it is the first time the company has started its marketing activities in the last 15 years, so wanted to check with the few Martech tools. Also, can anyone please guide on which can be the best CRM platform with low cost other than Hubspot or Salesforce CRM. The use case is to make a unified platform for all the data records and its cold email touchpoints.
HubSpot’s contact limits can be confusing with how they’ve evolved over time. To clarify:
The 1 million contact limit still applies to the total number of contacts you can store in the free CRM.
The 1,000 non-marketing contacts limit refers to specific Marketing Hub tiers where HubSpot changed how they handle marketing vs. non-marketing contacts for billing purposes.
If you're just using the free CRM, you can still store up to 1 million contacts, you just won’t have access to marketing emails or automation features tied to Marketing Hub. That said, as you grow, managing contact status (marketing vs. non-marketing) becomes important to avoid unexpected costs if you upgrade.
