Exploring the Five Unsolved GTM Problems: A Call for Insights
Hi all, I'm learning a lot about sales & Clay, wanted to ask experts here their take on the Five unsolved GTM problems that they posted on their blog. TLDR:
- 1.
Signal aggregation is broken: Too noisy, not actionable, not always real signal.
- 2.
Account hierarchies are inaccurate or irrelevant: Legal entities ≠accounts.
- 3.
Territories are static in a dynamic world: You’re rebalancing accounts once a year. The world changes every day.
- 4.
Rep interfaces are bloated, fragmented, and outdated: Reps open a lot of tabs, from prospecting tool, CRM, Clay, Salesloft, LinkedIn/X, ChatGPT. But you can't build 1-size fits all UI because each company has different processes
- 5.
Feedback loops barely work for messaging: Automated systems have trouble adjusting messaging based on success metrics, and manual adjustments take far too long.
Most interested in #4 as it seems like GTM engs often build custom tooling for their team. ❓Question: Is this a real pain that's worth solving? (curious to hear about the other problems too!)
