Has anyone successfully and elegantly implemented a meeting scheduler to accommodate sales territories?
Hey David, interesting question. Do you mean something like a Calendly/Google Calendar link that reps can send, or an inbound meeting scheduler that assigns to a specific rep?
Hey Matt, an inbound meeting scheduler on the company's website.
Sure thing - biggest point to make first is speed to reply on inbounds is way way more important these days than if used to be. If you're not replying within 30 mins your chance of closing them rapidly declines. Don't sacrifice speed over a complex assignment that your prospects don't see & don't care about. Having said that! If you've got consolidated sales territories set up and you want to make it completely automated you'll need some kind of custom workflow that'd be reliant on being able to accurately identify and/or score each inbound as they came in. Taking things like dialling codes, zip codes, country information for example on sign up - however usual thought process is the more info you demand from an inbound on a form, the less likely they are to continue and actually enquire. An easy first step that I'd look at if you haven't already is Calendly's routing ability - bit of info here. Might not be exactly what you're thinking but is a good place to start. Your CRM might be able to do this too if it's flexible. You could possibly look at setting up a workflow via Clay, enriching with tools like RB2B, although that'd rely on you already using Clay (or similar) otherwise you'll need to buy it/learn it/set it up/get an agency to do it which could end up very quickly very expensive, but might get you some decent accuracy. From experience though I'd say it can be very difficult to get 100% accuracy on automatically routing inbounds. There will often be unexpected roadblocks or unhappy sales reps if they don't think it works exactly as it should. I was trying to solve this at my last place and ended up jacking in the whole thing after working on it for a few weeks and reassigning one of my reps to all inbounds and switching his role to 50/50 inbound v outbound with the goal of turning him into a more revops role longer term. My advice would be to start basic, be totally open with your team and explain the difficulties with the process. Tell them it's a work in progress. Focus on speed as a number 1 priority. And look at Calendly first!
