hey guys, when I ask chatGPT or claude to help me revise my email copy they always give me refined & well polished versions while as an early stage founder, I'd like to stay punchy + show my enthusiasm + show that this is a real human being here. (I'm not mass sending. I'm sending emails one by one -> so I'm not lying) that said, what do you think of including sth like
I’ll be honest, this is a cold email. but I wrote this one myself after looking into your team.
in my email? thanks in advance for ur advice!
If you're sending one by one then just write it yourself in your authentic voice. Filtering it through AI will just take longer.
Skip it! The ones that actually get me to stop and read them are the ones that start with a bit of personalization and not over the top.
Hey Adam, I heard an interesting idea the other day. Train your agent creating your emails for you on SERPS. Theyre designed to make people click, maybe, theyll get people to open your emails.
been sending cold emails with clear mention that it's an AI reaching out I can't say that it worked well lol AI copywriting is a bitch. And it's better in English that any other language (try in French, it's fucked up). My advice:
spend time building your own skill, feed it with your best copy so far.
Include in the skill what structure you like (short, long, etc...), what sentences work, and what kind of sentences you want to never see
use spintax
ALWAYS use the best model for email copywriting (Fable, Opus 4.8 high, GPT 5.5 Pro). Any other model so far will sound slop
I do two things:
I write my draft manually and then ask AI to fix typos, then proofread again
For very important sales emails, I paste my manually written draft and ask AI to roleplay my buyer persona and ask me questions. If the questions show a lot of confusion, I address them and rewrite it
