Looking for insights and best practices on LinkedIn messaging as part of GTM outbound. We are looking at using HeyReach but may test out messaging manually to begin with. If anyone can share what generally works best these days from a content/messaging standpoint would appreciate it!
start manual first, 100%. you need to feel what resonates before automating it. biggest mistake I see is people automating bad messaging at scale — all that does is burn through your TAM faster. once you've got 3-4 message variants with >15% reply rate, then port those into HeyReach with personalization tokens
That makes sense!
Oz is 100% correct here. Also, some tims when you do scale it:
Use well-established 'rented' senders alongside 'real' internal senders if budget allows
Don't send inmails
Two- to three-step nurture, add note with the connection request message
As short and sweet and conversational as it can be
Get to the point fast, don't beat around the bush, don't add fluff
manual first - I 3rd this!
Good points. Just wanted to add I recently tried manual and linkedin detected it as bot activity. Just wanted to give a heads up to read about the rate limits, even a chatgpt prompt can do. Like max connection requests, searches, messages per day/week. There are no concrete numbers since it's reverse engineered and dynamic to algorithm.
Yep, it's actually really easy to become compliant these days though through tools like heyreach. It does all the throttling for you. You essentially just pretty much set one number. Don't build your own thing in this space you're gonna get your account banned (is my advice to anyone who says they want to try and build out their own thing to avoid paying for an already built tool that automate LinkedIn outreach) 😎
Peter F. please try linkedvue.com
Manual 100%- short and sweet and to the point. If the reader isn't hooked in the first few words, we loose them. Tier out your targets and for those who are high priority, I try to interact with their profile as well.
Alexandrea O. do you have any examples? Even my reply rates are very less these days
I would suggest a mix of both using 2 different LinkedIn profiles. That's what we're doing at termscout.com, and we recently started using heddl.app which is helping us with LinkedIn automation as well as keywords tracking.
