Hi everyone, has anyone used Bombora or 6Sense recently for intent buying? I'd like to have an idea of prices. Any info you can share is helpful. Thanks π
Pedro what's your goal? You might not need to spend that much money (almost certainly you don't have to haha)!
I was asked to look at a demand gen plan; they are just using ICP/Persona for the targeting of the ads on LinkedIn. I want to incorporate some kind of behavioral dimension. I've heard a lot of bombora and 6sense but never actually used them. As they don't publish prices, I don't even know if it makes sense or not
I have a strong opinion on this but that's because I've been in the space for so long and watched them grow and then totally sink. Because they've made "intent" so shrouded and fleety lol. Forget about intent. It's all about signal-based tactics. Who amongst your TAM is experiencing the pain points that you help to remedy? What data points do we need to intertwine into messaging to get their attention and where do they live most? You can do this at a fraction of the cost of any of those antiquated software programs. They both have struggled hugely over the past few years. Surely teams are still seeing value out of them. I'm not saying you won't see any value. What I'm saying is there are definitely better ways to see much greater value at a much cheaper price tag π
We're talking about retail/ecommerce companies with $30M in revenues. The product is pricing optimization related. I don't have visibility into pain points and messaging at this point. When you say What data points do we need to intertwine into messaging to get their attention and where do they live most?, can you expand on that? I'm trying to figure out what alternative signals I could use.
Yeah, so one idea would be looking for retailers running frequent, deep discounts (obviously). You can spot that on their website, promo emails, and public ads. That gives you something specific to build messaging around: are they giving away more margin than they need to move inventory? If the product covers promotional pricing, the messaging might be: βSaw [specific promotion] and was curious how you decide which products need a discount and how deep to go. How do you check whether a smaller discount could move the stock?β ...doesnβt prove they have a problem but it gives you a relevant question to test and a group to build an ad audience around. Just one idea I thought of, but there are always a million more you can build on due to you actually knowing what your product solves π And then from here you can use this in so many areas. You can tailor this to paid ads or email/LinkedIn outbound.... Tons of other places.
Got it! I see what you mean. I think you unlocked my block hehe! THanks a lot!
Heck yeah man you got it! Feel free to DM me whenever you have any more questions. This is my jam. This is literally all I do all day lol.
