I want to know from your experience: how long does it actually take to get a C-suite exec to respond to cold outreach? Curious what's worked for people here...
Multithreading, cold calling, messaging that is valuable, and speaking on your product confidently through channels you're using
Jonathan B. Agreed, email alone just isn't enough anymore. Cold calling feels like it's having a comeback, too. People pick up more than you'd expect. What channels are you seeing the best response rates on right now?
the trap with buying signals is treating "in market" as the signal - intent tools just tell you a company is researching a category, which is the same list a thousand other reps are emailing. the signal that actually converts is a specific trigger tied to the problem you solve: a role they just opened, a tool they just rolled out, a launch or funding event that creates the pain. generic intent says they might care, a trigger says why now and basically writes your first line for you. rule of thumb - if your opener could be sent to 50 companies unchanged, it wasnt really a signal.
Ozan D. you're right, if the opener works for 50 companies, it's not really personalised, it's just mail merge with a name. someone posting a job is basically raising their hand and saying 'i have this problem right now.' What other triggers do you find convert best beyond job postings and funding?"
