Hello Guys, I'm Launching my new SaaS. Any advice that i need to take care before launching it?
Hi Darshan Congrats on getting to launch stage. Lots of advice exists on the product side. I'll give you the sales side, which most founders skip until it's too late. Before the launch, you need to know the following: Who are your first 10 customers โ by name, not by persona. Not "mid-market SaaS companies." Actual companies. Actual people. If you can't name them, you don't have an ICP yet, you have a hypothesis. You've already had 20 Discovery Calls (Discovery calls are not Demos) - Discovery means you shut up and listen. You're trying to confirm whether the pain is real, frequent, and expensive enough that someone will pay to fix it. If you've been demoing instead of discovering, go back. Do you know why someone would NOT buy? Know this before launch, not after 6 months of stalled deals. It is in the "good to have" category or "must have". Does the budget come from discretionary spend or allocated budget. Can someone other than you sell it? If the only person who can close a deal is you, because you know the product and found the problem, you don't have a sales motion yet. Start documenting every discovery call, that's the start of your Sales Playbook. What does "yes" actually look like? Define what a closed deal means before you launch. Is it a signed contract? A paid subscription? A pilot agreement? The product can always be improved after launch. Pipeline and positioning are much harder to fix once you've burned through your first wave of prospects with the wrong message. What's the SaaS, happy to give more specific thoughts if you share the space. And before the Sales kicks in, I'm sure you've done enough PMF, User Interviews and created a GTM Plan.
Thanks Mr. Sharma, this is much valuable for me.
