Hey everyone- hope y'all are doing good!
My name is Aayush and I’m new to the marketing side of things. For the past 2 years, I’ve been focused on fundraising and investor relations, so I have a solid sense of what VCs look for. But when it comes to actually building and growing a product, I’m realizing how much I’ve underestimated marketing.
I used to think the product alone would do the heavy lifting, but it’s clear that marketing is what drives growth—bringing in users, inbound interest, and building an audience. Since my past role didn’t give me much exposure to this side, I’m still figuring out the nuts and bolts: how to grow an audience on social platforms, create engaging content/ads, and leverage partnerships effectively.
I get that consistency matters, but I’d love to know—what are the main areas I should double down on when it comes to content, design, ads, and partnerships? Should I structure a learning/implementation schedule, or just dive straight into experiments?
Would really appreciate any advice, shortcuts, AI Agents for content, any tools or lessons learned that could save me some time.
