Longer answer: It can depend on a number of factors on how long sales might stay involved, such as: Maturity of the company / product, complexity of the sales cycle, typical implementation / onboarding duration, land & expand versus full deals up front motion, etc.
All that said though, it is very rare for sales to own the technical side of a customer beyond a 3-12 month window after a sale closes.
