Hey all 👋 I’m applying for a Strategic Account Manager role and was given an account planning-style project to complete. The catch? I’ve never formally built a strategic account plan before 😅
Does anyone have:
A template they’ve used for enterprise / strategic account planning
Advice on how you structure your thinking?
Any free tools you like (Notion, Miro, Google Sheets, etc.)?
The exercise focuses on:
– Identifying key stakeholders (decision-makers vs. influencers across Development, Marketing, Finance, Exec)
– Assessing fundraising strategy & growth opportunities
– Forming strategic hypotheses before a first exec conversation
– Preparing for a simulated discovery call
It doesn’t need to be a formal presentation — they care more about how I think and frame opportunity at the executive level.
Would seriously appreciate any frameworks, examples, or “if I were you, I’d focus on ___” advice 🙏
Thank you in advance!
