Hey everyone, quick one. Has anyone here used Lemlist for outbound? I’m looking at it for my sales team and would be keen to hear honest thoughts from people who’ve actually used it. Mainly interested in how it performs for email deliverability, sequencing, LinkedIn steps, personalisation, and general ease of use for reps. Worth it, or are there better options you’d recommend?
On the deliverability piece - tool choice barely moves it. Lemlist, Apollo, Outreach, Smartlead all sit on top of the same underlying email infrastructure. Placement is driven by authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC alignment), warmup discipline, list quality, and sender reputation. None of which a platform's UI fixes. Evaluate Lemlist on what it actually controls: sequencing logic, personalization depth, LinkedIn integration, reporting, and how it handles inbox rotation under the hood. If deliverability is the actual problem you're solving, switching platforms won't get you there.
For me Lemlist works just fine, it helps me and my team to automate a sequence and usually builds the lead list for me as per my ICP with their new AI feature, I think you should go with it.
At my last position we used Lemlist and then moved to Apollo. We did believe that Apollo was less buggy and handled our sequences more effectively but there wasn't a huge gap between the two.
You can also use emailbison and smartlead, highly recommended.
Been using Lemlist for 4 years, so here's my honest take: Where it shines: LinkedIn sequencing is genuinely strong — the connection request withdraw option and person-level timezone-based sending are recent additions that actually work well in practice. Where it falls short: Email deliverability. We get better results through Apollo for emails, so we use Lemlist primarily for LinkedIn outreach and apollo for email and contact data. Reporting is a weak spot — it doesn't give you clean daily or weekly outreach numbers, which is sometime frustrating. One thing to know going in: Budget at least a month to set it up properly. Each step & condition has its own nuances and trade-offs — rushing it will cost you more time later. Good if LinkedIn sequencing is a priority for your team. For pure email outreach, use Apollo or any ither tool in mind.
