Wondering if anyone has used (or is using) AI SDR at a SaaS company? If so, what you are using, how is it working, what the pros and cons and are you seeing the ROI.
Hi Shani, I use a YC company called AI.SDR. and have been really impressed with them. The subscription includes leads from both ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, allowing you to build lead lists directly from those databases. What’s great is that their platform researches each prospect and crafts personalized emails for every contact, based on both the research it gathers and any specific context or training you provide for each campaign. We’ve been using it since January, and it’s become our #1 lead source — all from outbound efforts. Let me know if you’d like an intro or more details! Best, Francisco
Thanks Francisco F.. What is your business and who are you targeting? We target engineering leaders. I looked at AISDR but quickly disqualified that since 1. They don't support Linkedin and emails are just too noisy. 2. Personalization seemed basic - I'm reaching out because...trigger...if you are challenged with A...social proof from another customer.
Hi Shani, We sell to wealth management and insurance firms across the US and Canada. AI.SDR does support LinkedIn—I’m not sure when exactly they added it, but it’s been available since at least January when I joined. The emails it generates usually do a solid job of researching each lead, and you can adjust the tone to match your voice (or someone else’s). It took me a couple of months to get it dialed in, but it’s working really well now. Their customer success team has been great—they even set up a dedicated Slack channel with me, so it’s super easy to communicate and tweak things quickly. For context, our average ARR per deal is about 10x what I pay them monthly, and I only spend a few hours a week managing the tool. I still do some manual outreach on LinkedIn, but since month three, the AI SDR consistently outperforms me in booked meetings. I agree that the social proof part matters. Initially, it wasn’t hitting the mark, but once I broke down our campaigns by persona and company size, and iterated on messaging, things started to click. It’s never going to write better than a human—but at scale, it can get you surprisingly good results. Here’s an example of an email that just booked a meeting for me:
What industry are you targeting?
Thanks Francisco! That's helpful. We are targeting engineering and infra leaders and emails like that don't pass my "sniff" test. I get quite a few emails like that every day. But it's good to see that others see success
