RevGenius Weekly Update: New Coffee Talks Format, AI GTM Projects, In-Person Events, and Community Growth
@channel What's new this week: What a week - Coffee Talks is in an hour (93 people are registered so far): luma.com/revgenius-coffee-talks-july-2 this will be week 2. What's new this week with it - more concise structure. Come with an elevator pitch of what you do (30 seconds max - I'll mute you) and 1 cool thing you're building for your GTM with AI OR 1 problem or challenge you're having. 2 mins total - with discussion after where appropriate (others can chime in to help or ask questions or comment). So first bulleted community event type has been activated. The other 2 - 1/ what are you building in AI for your GTM / Skills - working on a structure with Sana C. who's helping us curate a couple new community products to join this (hint hint). This will be activated next. The product part has been scoped and will be built this upcoming week. A challenge: considering moving from Webflow to a more agentic solution for CMS / our site - claude - webflow is clunky for design and if we're building new parts of revgenius.com (we want our domain to drive way more value outside of just finding upcoming events) it's hard to put on main domain (subdomains required for 'app' like builds on Webflow). 2/ what's working in GTM - member led discussions around niche topics within outbound, revops, search / aeo, etc. Member led. Also we have launched in-person events hosting our second one in NYC (this time with Airspeed sponsoring) and setting an Aug 11 Palo Alto event (Akshayata S. and Laura F. helping lead that) as well as ideating on future SF events with Danylo B. joining that mix. The Boston group AJ A. Lolita T. Patrick A. Travis S. is ideating on the first Boston happy hour. Coming soon - stay tuned. We launched 2 channels for founders (1 for product founders, 1 for services) and 1 for GTM Leaders. The thought with the 2 founders channels vs 1 is I don't want them to become pitch fests from services founders. Just quiet (locked) spaces for leaders to get away from the noise. Part of 1/ event series will be creating an additional smaller space as well. Engagement is super high in here as a result of all this. Which is awesome - people are finding value for sure. Others are finding overwhelm. And I get that and hear that. The small(er) community-led programming is meant to help that (happy hours and community-led series'). But, we're not done there. I hear you (literally have spoken to dozens 1:1). More improvements coming. We are looking to drive more value than ever for each of you. Thank you for being here. TGIT (if you're off for the US holiday tomorrow).
