Hi everyone, Help needed 🙂 I have a presentation on Wed, I would like to open it with how the day of a revops lead looks like, what are the most painful tasks? This will just allow me to put a good story coming from the real persons executing this role, rather than just me trying to figure it out by myself. Mike C.
Hey Laura 🙌 I would say starting the day wanting to improve forecasting or fixing a process, and ending up jumping between CRM issues, reporting requests and ad hoc asks from sales and marketing. A lot of the day is spent cleaning data and putting out fires instead of doing the strategic work.
Thanks David. I've been reading reports that says exactly about your last line, RevOps spend lots of time firefighting instead of doing the actual revenue work. But as I said on my message, didn't want to put my own words without first confirming with people who work in the area. This is helpful
What's the context of the presentation? Every RevOps team will be different
Pat H. Context: It's about how RevOps solve their hardest problems, what is their structure for work, how they do gather context to solve this problems. This be presented to a set of stakeholders who will be evaluating if what I propose would solve problems to Business Operations roles including RevOps. Why did I choose RevOps? I discovered recently that is a super interesting role because it seems to be part analyst, investigator and architect while trying to keep the revenue machine going. When I was working in Engineering I never seen this role before, neither GTM, and now I opened my eyes to this new world and see how important is to have this roles in mind when growing. So any insights about how the Role is different on any team will be valuable to me
No, hehe :) I did put it together before but wanted a bit of validation from RevOps people 🙌🏻 didn't want to put words on my mouth that might misrepresent you guys.
