Exploring AI Agents for Sales: Insights on Ergo and GTM Automation
I’ve been exploring the AI-agents for our sales team had meetings with four different Y Combinator-backed startups focused on go-to-market automation. The one that stood out was a company called Ergo. They have built an AI agent that connects to your email, dialers, and AI notetakers. It automatically syncs conversations and emails into your CRM, keeping everything up to date without manual effort. What impressed me most was their pipeline tracker—it not only reminds reps of past conversations but also suggests follow-up emails based on meeting timeframes and context. The biggest value-add, in my opinion, was the preemptive nudging system that helps ensure no deal or communication falls through the cracks. I’m still fairly new to this space, but this felt like one of the first truly legit use cases for AI in GTM operations. Curious if others have seen similar tools or use cases. I should add that the other three companies were very unimpressive. Pretty much just glorified web scrapers. Interested to see how the space evolves.
