is email still a good way to acquired customers? esp cold. personally it has not been working well. linkedin cold yes, works really well after a couple of touch points. and then i follow it up with an email for selling or a lead magnet it works really well. but is direct cold outreach dead? or am i doing it wrong?
quick q: what is your avg list size after segmentation?
Anirudh M. cold email still works but you need to set up the proper tools to do so, especially for deliverability. What is your current stack ?
im sorry, whats LAL signals?
Aurélien M. Email: Smartlead (Primary)&Za-Zu(Secondary) LinkedIn: Lemlist List: Custom scrapers, Apify, Clay (Enrichment) Copy: GPT inside clay for each lead, but we review it. I got my inboxes from a provider (InboxNavigator)

Hey Anirudh M. This resource will save a lot of time for you https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1APy72KAqWt8sDq1yEWkXOiJWBCxEaZyDbun-E7BV5RA/edit?gid=0#gid=0 I work at smartlead, please let me know if you plan to try out smartlead for your cold outreach
Anirudh M. I just wanted to see where you were at, to avoid useless suggestions; that sounds like a solid stack to work with; the first question is of course to make sure you do not have a deliverability issue, because if you do everything else is useless. (you could add www.vayne.io to your stack, that is the Sales Nav scraper I founded 😉 )
what is the issue you are noticing : nobody replies or all the replies are negative ?
VA i am using smartlead right now 🙌
It works really well Anirudh M.. I have been using Instantly. It's not usually about which platform you are using, instantly or smartlead both usually works. Google has added a lot of restriction nowadays to identify cold emails, so most probably you might be ending in spam, you need to check how good your deliverability is. Try to warm up your email accounts, send only 25 emails a day from one account (that's the sweet spot), use a lot of spintax. If you are scaling, try to get more email accounts instead of increasing the number of emails per account. Avoid adding the company name or person's name in the subject line, I have seen in my campaigns that they are landing directly in spam. You need to create a no-brainer offer and provide value upfront. Don't use lead magnets, they don't work anymore. Create a loom video or something that explains how whatever you are providing is gonna generate more revenue for them. That's the game. Don't send any links or attachments in your first sequence, ask for their permission first and if they say yes then only share it with them. Try to get a reply even if it is a "no". This will help in boosting your deliverability. Most importantly, use lead scoring workflow or something to ensure whatever leads you are scraping are right fit for your offer, otherwise no matter whatever you do, they are not gonna reply.
The quality of the email is more important than the tool. Lead with problem and pain rather than features / price. Set a cadence / sequence that include every point of the buyers journey because you probably don’t know where the prospect is. So email sequaence should address Awareness emails, interest emails of how others have solved it, and considerations of benefits of solving the problem a certain way.
