💎 GTM GEM: The Chameleon Effect I found this study about “nonconscious mimicry” quite interesting. Basically, when you subtly mirror someone’s tone or gestures, they like you more (and never realize why). 😅 It’s called the Chameleon Effect, and I think it’s gold for GTM folks:
In sales calls, mirror a prospect’s phrasing or pace -> they’ll feel you “get” them.
In CS, match tone, then slowly calm it down -> helps de-escalate fast.
In marketing, match your audience’s energy -> your videos feel way more authentic.
Thinking of testing this with half the team for a couple weeks. Let’s see if mirroring actually moves next-step rates or CSAT. And of course: Echo, don’t copy. That’s the magic.
