Hi folks, I've a quick question! I'm building something in LinkedIn outreach productivity tool (prospecting, outreach, keeping track of follow ups, DMs, connection requests even after replied) Been building for founders -> Trying to learn more which sales roles are mostly involved in this?
Do SDRs do this?
Do AEs also still handle emails + LinkedIn DMs?
Do GTM engineers do any of this or mostly on Clay/data end?
Also heard that all sales reps are doing convos in LinkedIn to grow their network, is that true?
Does your org right now use some tooling for this (automation or manual)? Or are these more individual spend? Any other thoughts on this would be super helpful!
Majorly, SDRs are using this. I saw some AE still doing prospecting, but in most cases, they're dependent on IB leads. GTM Engineer is automating this task with Phantombuster or Dripify.
Gotcha, I see. Do you know what tools SDRs and AEs are using? Or do you know any SDRs or AEs I can chat with? Yeah I’ve looked into automations and one thing most people say is that these stops when someone replies. And then now whose job is it to handle the convo? The SDRs?
Hi Putri K. you’re right, most of this sits with SDRs AEs sometimes jump in for higher-value prospects, but it’s SDRs who usually run the LinkedIn + email touchpoints once someone replies, SDRs typically handle the first convo and then pass it to AEs if it’s qualified tooling-wise, I’ve seen a mix Clay + Apollo for data, Smartlead/Dripify/Phantombuster for LinkedIn, and then SDRs manage follow-ups in the inbox/CRM happy to share a workflow I’ve set up before if it helps!
Not all organizations invest in such solutions I believe its more covered by individuals. Maybe some startups do
