Tips for Engaging Senior Stakeholders in Email Campaigns

I’ve built a few mailing lists and started outbound e-mail campaigns, but I’m struggling to get meaningful responses from senior stakeholders. I’d love to hear best practices or proven techniques others are using to increase engagement and conversions in this stage of the funnel. Any tips on messaging, cadence, or tools that have worked well for you?

Are you going in completely cold with a fresh domain and no brand recognition from the target audience?

Would you be able to provide us with a little more context as well. What are you selling? Who is your target ICP? Also are you leveraging other channels? Cold calls, LinkedIn?

focus on the long run + manual work, everyone use’s automatizations and mid softwares that make you land in spam and you finish with this ‘pay to play’ dynamic!

I work with funded learning opportunities where we offer government-funded digital skills programmes in data, software, and AI. These are funded through the UK Apprenticeship Levy, which means companies can upskill their workforce at no extra cost using funds they’ve already contributed. I’m running outbound email campaigns, but I’m also actively leveraging LinkedIn outreach, LinkedIn InMails, and cold calling to reach and engage stakeholders. Despite this multichannel approach, it’s still tough to get meaningful responses from senior decision-makers — so I’d love to hear what’s working for others in terms of messaging, cadence, or conversion tactics. My main targets are HR Directors, L&D Leaders, Heads of Talent, and sometimes CTOs — typically in mid-to-large UK-based companies across industries like tech, finance, healthcare, and professional services

Tbh I don’t have experience in funded learning and any of the ICP’s below minus CTO’s. I don’t think my experience would translate that well for what you’re selling.
