Hi all, we are considering paying for additional G2 functionality but getting mixed reviews on the value it actually delivers. Any good or bad takes you can share from experience?
Juan E. If you carefully see those badges are old one and we haven't updated our cover page image since long. 🫣 But, soon we will be updating that too. Absolutely, social validation is important part of buyer journey. They do validate it and for reviews, we need to store it on G2 or somewhere else. Now, for free company profiles, G2 has changed too many things, such companies won't be able to access the badges which they achieved (this is bad honestly). These free users atleast used to showcase and once in quarter used to tag G2 for this. Now, this won't allow to do so and followed by G2's social media organic brand presence will go down. Only paid users won't make them big.
I'd agree with Divyaprasad P. when I was at TIBCO Software we used to partner closely with them (big $) and very little came out of it. Marketing was pushing this onto my Sales Dev teams and very very rarely conversations came out of it, nevermind meetings or pipeline.
Interesting... I see you guys display your badges right in the front of your linkedn page, so for you the G2 value comes from the social validation which you yourself are mainly generating (and storing in G2 for public access) but didn't find value in their paid offering. Thanks!
Honestly, we worked with them too and results are like nothing. No ROI, No traffic from G2 to website. It's opposite, G2 got traffic more from our website than we got from G2. They say it, buyer intent, accounts who viewed your profile and all stuff. But, nothing work. It's only about reviews, that, you can generate on your own anyways and for that no need of paid partnership.
