Hey team, I’m working on some blog content and had 2 quick questions: 1️⃣ Are AI-written blogs or website content still ranking well on Google in 2025? 2️⃣ With AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) becoming more important, does Google now prefer human-written content that shows real experience and expertise? If anyone has seen recent updates, examples, or has tested this, I’d really appreciate your thoughts! 🙏
Hey AJITH R., I am a search marketing expert and run a SaaS marketing agency. This is what I have observed lately after optimizing tons of SaaS websites:
AI written human edited blogs work really well. If you don't make it too obvious that it is written with AI, then there is no reason for it to not rank well. However, you will have to do basic sanity checks like fact checking, NLP optimization, personal experience (if applicable), stats, reports, external and internal linking. If you just randomly generate a blog using GPT/claude then it won't rank, you will have to add correct information as you would if you are manually writing it.
See, as of now there is no such hard and fast rule on how to optimize for AI mode. AI mode picks bits and pieces from 100s of websites to generate a unique answer. The clicks from these are obviously very low as user gets the answer directly. It really depends on the user's search query, sometimes you just need to give direct answers in your blog without any jibberish and sometimes you will have to add personal expertise. Currently, it is very hard to predict but I would suggest to avoid fluff and directly give answers that AI engines can understand effortlessly.
We are following this and are getting 200k and even 400k traffic for some clients.
AJITH R. Google now really likes content that shows real experience and knowledge. Some ai-made content might show up, but it doesn’t do well over time because it lacks real human insight. That’s why many companies still spend a lot on good SEO to build trust and show they know what they’re talking about. Hope this helps.
Also question and answer type of content, structured with schema markups. Many different ways of increasing visibility for GEO
