Maybe a stupid or basic marketing question: IF SEO brings customers, are Google Ads then also likely to work? I never tested Google Ads cause I heard that they are super overpriced and don't work, but we get a lot of leads through BOFU articles and SEO landingpages.
Google ads works for sure, bit costly than LinkedIn that’s also correct but it will give you that missing audience which may not be active on LinkedIn. There are two campaigns that works in Google ads, one is search and another one is pmax, both work mostly on top funnel if your product is high ticket size. And Google search may work for you and give demo related leads if your product is low ticket size. Feel free to connect if you need any help, I am working for an enterprise software company and bringing good pipelines for them
IME, Google Ads (and all the other ad platforms my client use) work best if brand awareness is already strong. If you're a young brand or in a niche market, you need to design with precision to avoid paying for irrelevant or low-intent clicks. And there's good reasons to be wary of automated campaigns unless you've got a sizeable budget. DM me if any questions.
Sounds like you’ve got your value prop and lead engine working nicely if you’re getting good volumes on SEO. I’d analyse the gap in terms you’re showing up for there and expand your reach with ads relevant to those working LPs. Google usually gives you a few hundred quid to test anyway. Happy to chat more if you’re thinking about going for it
Google ads work. But it depends on your niche, the auction, how expensive the bids are for you and of course, how the account is set up. I'd say don't ignore it completely as a channel. Invest a bit, analyze the auction, and if the CPCs and CPA makes sense to you then scale
I'm in the camp that says don't bid on brand name queries. That is, don't pay for an ad with your brand name. As far as general keyword phrases, if you're already getting a lot of organic traffic, you might be able to supercharge that with Google Ads. You'd just have to test to see what kind of increases you get. It could just cost you more for the exact same results. Definitely don't neglect answer engine optimization (mentions in the big LLMs). That's where I'd focus my attention instead of paid Google ads.
